Karnataka CM News Updates: CM Siddaramaiah stepped down as Karnataka’s Chief Minister. The Congress leader visited the Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru to hand in his resignation. The Karnataka government convened a meeting on Thursday morning.
Following this meeting, it was confirmed that Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah had submitted his resignation as Chief Minister at the Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru.
Speaking to the media, the Congress leader thanked the High Command, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge, for giving him the opportunity to serve the state as Chief Minister on two occasions.
Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah further stated that although the Governor is currently out of the city due to a scheduled engagement, he has handed over his resignation to the Governor’s Private Secretary.

Speaking at a press conference, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah added that the time has now come to make way for a new Chief Minister for the state, and he urged that this transition process be carried out constitutionally.
“I believe that the Constitution itself is our religion, and the voters are our deities and admirers. I had the opportunity to serve as Chief Minister twice and as Leader of the Opposition twice. I would like to thank Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge.
I joined the Congress party in 2006, and since then, all Congress leaders, party workers, and MLAs have showered their affection upon me. I thank them all. During my two tenures as CM, from 2013 to 2018, and from 2023 to the present, all my colleagues who worked alongside me extended their support and affection. I thank each and every one of them,” he told the media.
