Jasprit Bumrah has achieved the joint highest ever rating points for an Indian bowler on the rankings chart after his 9 for 94 in the third Test against Australia in Brisbane.
The Indian bowler, already at the top of the bowlers’ rankings, further strengthened his position at the top by adding 14 points, taking his points to 904, 48 more than second-placed Kagiso Rabada (856).
The only other Indian bowler to achieve this feat is the recently retired R Ashwin, who achieved the feat after the fourth Test against England in Mumbai in December 2016. Jasprit Bumrah, who is currently the leading wicket-taker in the five-match Border-Gavaskar series with 21 wickets in six innings at an average of 10.90.
Among all-rounders, India’s Ravindra Jadeja remains at the top with 424 rating points, while Australia captain Pat Cummins has returned to the top 10 after taking four wickets and scoring 42 runs in the third Test at the Brisbane Cricket Ground, commonly known as the Gabba.
