Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh: ”Pati Patni Aur Woh 2‘ was released in theatres on May 15, and amidst the buzz, several promotional clips featuring the film’s cast have gone viral online. Amidst this discussion, social media users began speculating about a potential rift between the film’s leading ladies. Many claimed that during the promotions, Wamiqa Gabbi was sidelined by her co-stars, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh.
Now, both Sara and Rakul have dismissed these rumors, making it clear that there is no animosity between the actresses.
Speaking to News18, Rakul addressed the age-old notion that actresses supposedly do not get along with one another. She stated, “This has been manufactured by the media. A mindset or perception becomes a narrative that, if repeated 10 times, begins to feel like the truth. This has been going on for years. Who has actually witnessed these ‘catfights,’ differences, or strained relationships? Any professional actor who walks onto a set knows just how crucial the film is, for their own career and for everyone else’s. The film itself is your livelihood.”
She further added, “You have to give your absolute hundred percent to the film you are working on. Therefore, you wouldn’t be foolish enough to pick unnecessary fights with your co-actors, unless something truly egregious were happening to someone. But I simply don’t understand this notion that women don’t get along with each other. Personally, I get along well with everyone.”

Sara Ali Khan Echoed Similar Sentiments
Sara Ali Khan echoed similar sentiments and praised director Mudassar Aziz for crafting distinct roles for all three actresses in the film. She said, “The three of us are very different people, yet we all feel completely confident and secure in our respective spaces. And the entire credit for this goes to Mudassar (Aziz; the director) Sir, who has written a script in which there is absolutely no similarity between the costumes, hairstyles, makeup, language, dialogues, personalities, or motivations of any of the characters.
We are all well aware of this.” Emphasising the importance of teamwork within the film, Sara Ali Khan stated, “When you are working on a film, you have to stop viewing it in terms of ‘my role’ versus ‘their role.’ It is ‘our film.’ The more entertaining Rakul is, the better it is for me. The better she performs in a song, the better it is for me. And the better I perform in a song, the better it is for her. We are a family.”
In addition to Sara, Rakul, and Wamiqa, the film also features Ayushmann Khurrana in a lead role. Presented as a lighthearted family entertainer, Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 promises to offer a fresh take on comedy, blending nostalgia with the dynamics of modern-day relationships.
