NEET UG Exam 2026: NTA Issues Warning Against ‘Paper Leak’ Claims on Social Media

NEET UG Exam 2026: With just a few weeks remaining until the national-level medical entrance examination, and amidst recurring concerns regarding allegations of paper leaks in previous years, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has advised NEET UG Exam 2026 candidates to be wary of fraudulent social media channels, particularly on Telegram, that claim to provide examination papers. Acting on many complaints, the agency has warned candidates not to fall prey to such claims and stated that strict legal action is being initiated against those spreading misinformation.

The NTA posted on the microblogging site ‘X’: “Beware of fraudsters spreading rumours about NEET papers on Telegram and other platforms. Do not fall victim to such scams. Rely solely on official updates received from the NTA website and verified social media handles. Strict legal action is being taken, and such channels are being blocked.”

NEET UG Exam 2026: National-level NMedical Entrance Examination

NEET UG 2026 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate) is the single national-level medical entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) across India for admission into MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BSc Nursing, BVSc & AH, and other undergraduate medical courses. The NEET UG 2026 examination is scheduled to be held on May 3, 2026 (Sunday), in a single shift.

Additionally, in another post on ‘X’, the NTA has instructed students to carry a valid ID proof with them on the day of the examination. Students without a valid ID proof will not be permitted to enter the examination hall. Furthermore, the NTA examination centres will provide pens to students for filling out their OMR sheets; NEET UG candidates must rely on these provided pens. Regarding the dress code, the NTA has advised students to wear simple and light-colored clothing. The agency has also advised students to avoid wearing full-sleeved clothing, accessories, and heavy items.
