MBA Admission 2026: MBA aspirants can expect a CAT percentile of over 99 for admission to the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad), while the cut-offs for IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode are likely to be between 97 and 99.
According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2025 (NIRF), the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) is India’s top management college, followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode at second and third positions, respectively. Students seeking an MBA seat at such top colleges can expect competitive percentile requirements for the academic session 2026-27.

India’s top B-schools, the IIMs, admit students based on their performance in the CAT, personal interview, written aptitude test (WAT), group discussion, and work experience.
MBA Admission 2026: Eligibility Criteria
However, each IIM has its own eligibility criteria (including academic cut-offs and associated weightings) and follows different selection processes. Last year, IIM Bangalore gave only 25% weightage to MBA entrance exam scores, while IIM Kozhikode reduced the weightage of Class 10 scores in CAT 2024 by 10%, from 25% to 15%.
