IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2024: 121 offers Accepted with 35% of Students Coming from Consulting Firms.
IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2024: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad concluded the final placement process of its One Year MBA (PGPX) in the end of June 2024. Around 121 students of the IIMA PGPX class of 2024 accepted offers across various sectors and geographies. And economic conditions.
According to the final audited placement report of IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2024, 105 companies from different sectors offered a variety of roles to the students of PGPX 2024 batch.
An institute statement issued in this regard said that the final audited placement report in line with the ‘Indian Placement Reporting Standards’ (IPRS) was audited by an external agency and finalized in August 2024. India will introduce audited placement reports from 2011.
It said placements continue to have a good mix of returnees and new recruits, a clear indication of the strong demand for the PGPX program and its diversity.
Consulting (management and technology) is the largest recruitment sector followed by IT services, BFSI and healthcare. According to the IIM Ahmedabad placement report, consulting firms (management and technology) placed 35 percent of the students. The information technology (IT) sector along with banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) and healthcare industries employed about 18 per cent, 11 per cent and 10 per cent of graduates respectively.
Sharing his views on Placements 2024, Professor Vishwanath Pingali, Chairman of the Placement Committee, said, “Despite challenging economic circumstances, this year’s One Year MBA (PGPX) placements have continued to perform exceptionally well. These figures clearly demonstrate the continued confidence shown by the industry in our programme.
IIMA PGPX alumni continue to receive preference for leadership roles as well as middle and senior management roles from both Indian and international recruiters. Some of the positions for which students including women students were appointed include Chief Product Officer, Vice President, Associate Director, Associate Vice President, Leading Programs, Program Head, Product Head and Consultant.
While IIMA PGPX students were largely considered by large corporates for senior leadership and middle management roles, start-ups – both unicorns and soon-to-be-unicorns – also recruited students this year.
