Jayshree Ullal, CEO of Arista Networks: For many years, discussions about the wealthiest Indian-origin executives in the global technology sector have centred on figures such as Satya Nadella and Sundar Pichai. While they head two of the world’s most powerful companies, neither Nadella nor Pichai currently holds the top spot among Indian-origin leaders in terms of wealth.

According to the Hurun India Rich List 2025, that distinction now belongs to Jayshree Ullal, President and CEO of Arista Networks.

The report states that Jayshree Ullal’s net worth is ₹50,170 crore, placing her ahead of many high-profile figures in Silicon Valley and making her the wealthiest Indian professional manager globally. Microsoft CEO Nadella is in second place with ₹9,770 crore, while Google’s Pichai is seventh with ₹5,810 crore.

Jayshree V. Ullal is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Arista Networks, the cloud-networking company she has led since 2008. Under her leadership Arista grew from a startup into a multibillion-dollar publicly traded company and a major supplier of high-performance data-center networking equipment.

Jayshree Ullal: Early life and education

Jayshree Ullal was born in London in 1961, of Indian origin, grew up in New Delhi, and moved to the United States for higher education. She earned a B.S. in electrical engineering from San Francisco State University and an M.S. in engineering management from Santa Clara University-credentials that set the foundation for a four-decade career in networking and semiconductors.

Career highlights: from engineering to CEO Ullal’s early career included technical and product roles at Fairchild Semiconductor, AMD and networking startups. She moved into senior networking leadership at Cisco, where she oversaw large data-center switching and services businesses before joining Arista in 2008 as President and CEO.

At Arista Networks, she led the company through rapid product innovation in 10/25/40/50/100/400/800 Gbps Ethernet switching, ultimately culminating in an IPO in June 2014. Those moves established Arista as a core vendor for cloud providers and large enterprises.
