Bihar Government Announcement For Students: In a significant move that will benefit lakhs of students preparing for government jobs in the state, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day that candidates will have to pay only Rs 100 for all preliminary exams, while no fee will be charged for the main exam. The announcement comes just months ahead of the assembly elections in the state.

Chief Minister said that a uniform fee structure will be applicable in state-level competitive exams conducted by all commissions, including the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC), Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC), Bihar Police Subordinate Service Commission (A Group ‘C’ civil service recruitment body for Bihar Police), and Central Selection Board of Constable (to recruit for Group D posts in Bihar Police).
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, “Instructions have been given to charge only Rs 100 (One hundred only) from the candidates appearing in the preliminary exam. Candidates who qualify and appear in the main exam will no longer have to pay any exam fee. This move of the state government will benefit lakhs of youth and motivate them to achieve their goals.”
