25 universities in Karnataka will now use the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 scores for admission to undergraduate programs including BA, BSc and BCom.
“Today I held a meeting with Vice Chancellors of 25 State Universities of Karnataka to discuss Common University Entrance Test (CUET).”The Vice Chancellors have supported the introduction of CUET and have agreed to use CUET for admission to BA, BSc, BCom and similar programmes,” UGC President Jagadesh Kumar tweeted today.
CUET 2022 online application will start from 6th April. CUET will be conducted for admission to UG programs from the academic session 2022-23 in all the central universities funded by UGC.
CUET 2022 will be conducted in 13 languages and it is an attempt to remove the disparity in board exams as per UGC. The registration for CUCET will begin on 6th April, 2022 at cuet.samarth.ac.in, after being delayed from the starting date of 2nd April, 2022.
CUET does not limit the students from changing their stream, i.e. a high school student with a science stream is welcome to pursue humanities-based undergraduate courses. However, it is up to the students to ensure that they check the eligibility criteria from their desired universities, and ensure that they choose the domain and language courses accordingly.
