CAT 2024 Exam Day Guidelines: Documents Required, Dress Code and Everything You Need to Know
Students registered for the CAT 2024 exam must bring their admit card to the exam center, as without admit card entry into the exam hall will not be allowed.
CAT 2024 Exam: Indian Institute of Management ((IIM) Calcutta will conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 tomorrow, November 24, 2024. Thousands of candidates will appear for one of the most competitive management entrance exams in India. The CAT 2024 exam will be conducted in three different sessions at various exam centers across the country. Students registered for the CAT 2024 exam must bring their admit card to the exam center, as without admit card entry into the exam hall will not be allowed.

Candidates will get three marks for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. However, there is no negative marking in Non-MCQ questions. The Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) section is the most important, consisting of 24 questions carrying a total of 72 marks, which must be completed within a time limit of 40 minutes.
CAT Exam 2024 Timings: The CAT 2024 exam will be conducted in three slots.

CAT 2024: What to Carry on Exam Day: Candidates appearing for CAT 2024 need to carry the following items to the exam centre.
+ To obtain your CAT 2024 admit card, please visit the official website to download and print the document. Entry into the exam centre without it is not allowed.
+ Valid Photo ID: Carry a valid photo ID such as Aadhaar card, Driving license, Passport or voter ID card.
+ Candidates who require assistance are required to submit a supporting affidavit or, if relevant, a medical certificate to prove the need for such assistance.
+ Other Required Documents: Make sure you carry any additional documents specified in the exam instructions.
CAT Exam Prohibited Items: The following items are prohibited in the exam centre.
+ Bluetooth devices, Mobile phones or other electronic gadgets
+ Calculators, Wristwatches and pouches containing stationery
+ Bags, shoes and hats etc.
+ Clothes with large pockets or jewelry (bracelets, earrings, rings etc.)
Candidates may be asked to remove these items before entering the exam hall.
