CBSE 2026 Board Exam Date Sheet: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a tentative date sheet for the 2026 board exams for classes 10 and 12. The exams will commence on February 17, 2026, in all CBSE-affiliated schools in India and abroad. According to the schedule, the Class 10 exams will conclude on March 9, and the Class 12 exams will end on April 9.
The board stated that most papers will be held between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM, while some subjects will have exams between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM. CBSE has clarified that these dates are tentative and subject to change. The board has also planned a supplementary or second chance exam for Class 10 students starting May 15, 2026, to provide another opportunity for students who need to retake the exam.
CBSE 2026 Board Exams: Tentative Schedule
The CBSE also announced that this year, approximately 4.5 million candidates will take the exams for 204 subjects in classes 10 and 12. This includes students from all schools in India and from 26 countries where CBSE-affiliated schools are located. The board stated that the CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 exams will begin at 10:30 AM on the exam day, in a single shift.
However, candidates should note that the CBSE has clarified that this is the tentative schedule for the upcoming CBSE board exams 2026, and it may be subject to change if necessary.
