CAT Exam Update: Experts Claim the Exam was Easy but Tricky

CAT Exam Update: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has successfully concluded the examination. Experts have assessed that this year’s exam was less challenging compared to the previous two years. Furthermore, there is an anticipation of a higher cut-off for this exam. The Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning sections included 2 sets of 5 questions and 3 sets of 4 questions. Ramanath Kanakadandi, Senior Course Director at T.I.M.E., stated that one of these sets was relatively manageable.
The section on Quantitative Aptitude (QA) comprised 14 to 15 questions, featuring a range of inquiries that required direct application of formulas. The topics covered within QA included speed distance and time, ratios, profit and loss, probability, arithmetic, algebra, series, and geometry. Additionally, experts have indicated that the difficulty level of the exam for the second slot was moderate.
CAT Exam Update: Slot 1 Analysis
According to the top rankers, the exam was easier than last year. The VARC section presented a moderate level of difficulty, the DILR section was manageable, and the QA section was similarly moderate. Students responded positively, with little surprises in the exam. Bhushan Bapat, Academic Head of the CAT Division at Supergrads, TopRankers, stated that the overall difficulty level was moderate, indicating that higher cutoffs are anticipated this year.
