The stakes are high. The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is hoping to secure another term, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance is aiming for a comeback. This is the first battle after the split of alliances in Maharashtra – the Shiv Sena (in 2022) and later the NCP (in 2023).
The significant question is regarding the leadership of Maharashtra: will it be Eknath Shinde from Shiv Sena, Devendra Fadnavis representing the BJP, or Uddhav Thackeray of Shiv Sena UBT?
