Veteran actor Nana Patekar has passed away at the age of 75 following a severe cardiac arrest. The National Award-winning actor was one of the most respected and distinguished artists in Hindi and Marathi cinema.

The actor was found unconscious at his residence in Dona Paula, Goa. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.

According to ANI, Dr. Shekhar Salkar, Head of the Oncology Department at Manipal Hospital, stated that the actor could not be saved despite 45 minutes of continuous CPR. A medico-legal case (MLC) has been registered, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted.

This news has shaken the film industry, and members of the film fraternity as well as his fans are struggling to come to terms with this loss.

Nana Patekar built a career spanning several decades across films, theatre, and television. With his commanding screen presence, powerful dialogue delivery, and the ability to portray complex characters with remarkable restraint, the actor carved a unique niche for himself in Indian cinema.
