NTA Launches Official WhatsApp Channel for Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that it will send essential exam-related updates and information regarding test centers to candidates appearing for the NEET-UG 2026 re-exam via its official WhatsApp channel.
According to the agency, this initiative has been launched to ensure candidates receive necessary information directly and to avoid any confusion before the re-exam scheduled for June 21, 2026.

NTA Shares Details of Official WhatsApp Account

The NTA has informed candidates that all updates on WhatsApp will be sent exclusively from its verified WhatsApp account (number +91 7827980287).
Candidates are advised to look for the ‘blue verified tick’ and the display name “National Testing Agency” (NTA). The agency has clarified that any account lacking the ‘blue verification badge’ should not be considered an official NTA account, even if it uses the agency’s name.
WhatsApp Channel is Strictly a ‘broadcast’ Service
The agency also stated that its WhatsApp channel is strictly a ‘broadcast’ service; this means candidates can receive information but cannot reply to the messages. The NTA has urged candidates to be wary of fraud. The testing agency has issued a warning regarding fake messages and online scams. According to the NTA, it will never ask candidates to:
Share a One-Time Password (OTP)
Provide personal information via WhatsApp
Make payments via links or QR codes
Download question papers or answer keys from unofficial sources
The agency stated that any message claiming to be from the NTA and requesting such information should be treated as fraudulent.
