The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the subject-wise schedule for the UGC NET June 2026 examination. The agency has announced that the exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from June 22 to June 30, 2026.
The schedule, released via a public notice, covers over 80 subjects, with exams taking place across five days in two shifts. The exam will be held in two shifts daily: the first shift from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the second shift from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
The NTA has stated that information regarding the exam city/center will be released on its official website eight to ten days before the exam; this means candidates scheduled to take the exam on June 22 can expect city allotment details around June 12–14. Candidates are advised to download their admit cards as soon as they are released and to verify all details, such as the exam center city, shift timing, and subject code, before the scheduled exam date.

UGC NET 2026: Schedule
The examination will commence on June 22. The first shift includes subjects such as Visual Art, Museology and Conservation, Geography, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, and Labour Welfare and Personnel Management. Meanwhile, the second shift will cover subjects including Computer Science and Applications, Persian, Russian, Bengali, Home Science, Music, and Population Studies.
