Under Suryakumar Yadav’s leadership, India fell short in every department. After electing to bat, South Africa posted a massive 187/7. David Miller led the team with 63 runs, while Dewald Brevis gave the team momentum with a quick 45 runs. Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets for 15 runs, but the rest of the attacking players struggled to contain the runs. India’s reply never gained momentum.
