Savitribai Phule Pune University Allowed Students With Blocked PRNs to Appear for the Exams.

The University officials have declared that the students whose academic sessions have officially ended, and fall under the N+2 Eligibility rule, will be allowed to fill the application forms.

It’s a relief for thousands of students whose PRNs were earlier blocked, and they were unable to take exams. But now, the Savitribai Phule Pune University has decided to allow these students to appear in exams, who are eligible under the N+2 rule.

The University officials have declared that the students whose academic sessions have officially ended, and fall under the N+2 Eligibility rule, will be allowed to fill the application forms. The decision was taken with the approval of the University’s Management Council.

Savitribai Phule Pune University: Blocked PRNs

As announced, the university officials have shared the Blocked PRNs list with affiliated colleges for thorough verification. Then, a separate portal will be created specifically for students with Blocked PRNs. This will let the students apply for the exam, who were all waiting for clarity.

The Savitribai Phule Pune University officials have taken this decision to provide examination relief to the students without breaking the academic rules. The university has issued instructions to the Principals of affiliated colleges for thorough verification of PRNs of eligible students.

The university’s Academic Council organised the meeting on 14th December. The students whose academic year is 2024-2025 will be allowed to clear backlogs and other remaining exams so that their academic year will be completed on time.

The PRNs (Permanent Registration Numbers) were previously blocked for some students because of a lapse in the dictated duration of academics. This significant decision will be very advantageous for thousands of students from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) affiliated colleges.  They will be able to sit in their final exams and complete their degrees.

Along with the students with blocked PRNs, other students are also called who were unable to give/appear for the exams due to any other reason/circumstances. The students will be able to complete their degrees within the stipulated time as per UGC (University Grants Commission) rules.
