UP NEET PG Counselling 2025: The Director General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has disqualified 148 candidates from participating in the UP NEET PG Counselling 2025-26. This action has been taken against candidates who did not take admission or resigned from the MD/MS seats allotted to them during the vacant seat and special vacant seat rounds of the previous academic session.
As per the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) admission guidelines issued last year, the security deposit of candidates who fail to take admission after being allotted a seat in the vacant seat round will be forfeited, and they will also be barred from participating in the counselling process of the next academic year. Similarly, students who resign from their seats after the final round of counselling without completing the course will also be disqualified for the next admission session.
UP NEET PG Counselling 2025: 148 Candidates Disqualified for Forfeiting Seats
Out of the 148 candidates, 59 students did not take admission despite being allotted a seat, while 89 students resigned from their MD and MS seats after the final round of counselling. The Director General of Medical Education and Training (DGME) has released two separate lists of the disqualified candidates, containing their names, roll numbers, NEET PG rank, and allotted institute.
The Director General of Medical Education and Training (DGME) is expected to release the dates for UP NEET PG Counselling 2025 soon on its official website – upneet.gov.in. Eligible candidates will be able to register by paying a non-refundable registration fee of ₹3,000. This counselling will be conducted for admission to MD, MS, Diploma, DNB, and MDS courses in all government and private medical institutions in Uttar Pradesh.
