Vinesh Phogat was Disqualified due to Standing Overweight(50kg)

Vinesh Phogat is a skilled wrestler and a three-time Olympian. Before, she became the first Indian woman wrestler to prevail in gold at the Asian Games and Commonwealth. She is the sole Indian female wrestler to win considerable medallions at the WORLD WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP Phogat also became the foremost Indian athlete to be designated for the LAUREUS WORLD SPORTS AWARDS in 2019.
Vinesh arrives from a household of medal-disarming wrestlers. Her cousins have been notable global wrestlers and Commonwealth medalists. She is the daughter of wrestler Rajpal Phogat and a cousin of wrestlers GEETA and BABITA. Both her cousin sisters have won gold in the 55 kg class at the COMMONWEALTH GAMES

During the 2024 PARIS OLYMPICS, Phogat became the first international wrestler to overthrow YUI SUSAKI, the reigning gold medalist and four-time World Champion, in WOMEN’S 50KG WRESTLING evolving the first female wrestler from India to get an Olympic final.

“ Despite the best actions by the squad through the night, she mulledin a few grams over 50kg this morning. No additional statements will be made by the delegation during this period. The Indian team bids you respect Vinesh’s solitariness. It would like to focus on the rounds on hand,” the Indian Olympic Association said in a proclamation.
