More Than 20 Lakh Registrations for NEET UG 2023 Exam This Year.

NEET UG is the qualifying entrance exam for admission to various medical colleges including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, BHMS and BSC (H) Nursing courses.

NEET UG 2023 Exam : According to officials, a record 20.87 lakh students have registered for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG), the country’s biggest entrance exam this year, which is 2.57 lakh more than last year. A total of 11.8 lakh female candidates registered, which is 2.8 lakh more than male candidates.

NEET UG is the qualifying entrance exam for admission to various medical colleges including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, BHMS and BSC (H) Nursing courses.

The exam is to be held on May 7, 2023 and the maximum number of registrations for NEET UG 2023 Exam have come from Maharashtra, followed by Uttar Pradesh.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode.

NEET UG 2023 Exam Paper Pattern And Other Details:

The NEET UG 2023 exam will consist of four subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Each subject will have 50 multiple choice questions divided into two sections (A and B). The duration of the exam will be 200 minutes, from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM (IST). A total of 200 questions will be asked in the exam and it will be conducted in 13 languages ​​including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Oriya, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi, Urdu and Tamil.

As per the marking scheme, four marks will be awarded for each correct answer while three marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Unanswered questions will carry zero marks. If more than one option is correct, four marks will be given for both the options.

For NEET UG Exam the minimum age required is 17 years, and there is no upper age limit for any category of candidates. This is a change from last year, when the age limit was 25 years for general candidates and 30 years for reserved candidates.
