CUET UG Results by July 22; Re-exam for Around 1,000 Students on July 19

While originally, CUET UG results were scheduled to be released on June 30, NTA delayed the results as it was grappling with paper leak allegations involving NEET UG, UGC NET and CSIR UGC NET.

CUET UG Results: After the postponement and cancellation of several exams, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to conduct the CUET UG re-examination for around 1,000 candidates on July 19.

NTA had released the provisional answer keys of CUET UG 2024 on July 7, in which the agency had mentioned that if any complaints were found raised by the students regarding the conduct of the examination, it would be held by the CUET UG candidates between July 15 and 19.

A senior NTA official told the media house that the CUET UG 2024 retest will be conducted in online mode. Those appearing for the re-exam include around 250 candidates from Hazaribagh’s Oasis Public School, which is under suspicion of NEET UG leak. All the candidates of this center have been instructed to take the exam again on July 19.

Other reasons include loss of time and distribution of question papers in wrong language. After re-testing on July 19, NTA will likely release the result by July 22.

CUET UG exam was originally scheduled to be held between May 15 and 24. NTA had on May 14 postponed the exam to May 15 in all Delhi centers citing logistics issues. After this the examination was conducted on 19 May.

CUET UG is a single-window examination for admission to most undergraduate programs in 46 central universities including Delhi University, Allahabad University and Banaras Hindu University. For the first time, this year the entrance exam was conducted in hybrid format – online as well as in pen-and-paper mode – in multiple shifts.
