Madhya-Pradesh PSC Exam to Extend Maximum Age Limit by 3 Years

Aspirants preparing for Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) that was not conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic have good news.

Bhopal, Madhya-Pradesh: Aspirants preparing for Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) that was not conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic have good news.

On Monday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the extension of the maximum age limit of 3 years for MPPSC just for once.

In a discussion with the media, the CM said, “Several students met and told me that a good number of students had become ‘over-aged’ for the MPPSC examination as it was not held during the COVID-19 period. They demanded an extension of the maximum age limit.”

Additionally, CM also mentioned that the demand of the students was justified and therefore, the 3 years of age limit will be extended for Madhya-Pradesh Public Service Commission but only for once.

These moves of the government must have provided relief to the aspirants who become overaged and weren’t qualified to fill the MPPSC examination form. It should be noted that the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission did not conduct any significant exams during the COVID-19 period (MPPSC). Now that MPPSC is releasing notifications for several important exams, a few students are still unable to register for these notifications because of difficulty with averaging.

Consequent on the reorganization of States on 1st November 1956, eight districts of Madhya Pradesh have been transferred to the Bombay State and the remaining fourteen districts of the Madhya Pradesh  along with Madhya Bharat, Bhopal and Vindhya Pradesh were merged to form the new Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya-Pradesh PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION:

As there was no Public Service Commission for the States of Bhopal and Vindhya Pradesh, these being Part “C” States, and the recruitment for these States was being done by the Union Public Service Commission, the records of cases dealt with by the Union Public Service Commission for these two States  were not available to the new Commission.
