MA in Journalism: In the occasion on celebration of Hindi Journalism Day, the Standing Committee on Academic Affairs at Delhi University has approved the launch of a Master’s program MA in journalism in Hindi medium, scheduled to start in the academic session of 2025-26, as reported by official panel members.
Hindi Journalism Day, celebrated every year on May 30, marks the publication of “Udant Martand” in 1826 – the first Hindi newspaper in India – and highlights the important role of journalism as the fourth pillar of democracy.
The new-approved postgraduate (PG) course will be offered under the Hindi department and is part of the Faculty of Arts. It has been designed in line with the university’s postgraduate (PG) course framework. However, for the course to be implemented, it must receive a final nod from the Academic Council.
