All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched full-time ME, MTech and PhD programs under the Quality Improvement Program (QIP). Interested candidates can apply for the programs on the official website aicte-india.org.
Admission process
AICTE is currently inviting applications from faculty members of AICTE approved institutions under “AICTE-QIP-PG Certificate Programme”. Based on the applications received, AICTE will allot the applicants to the respective host institute for the selection process.
Further, PG certification program can be started by the respective host institute, if and only if a minimum of 30 candidates are admitted in a course.
Candidates have time till June 6 to apply, as the date of conducting the interview by the concerned institute is June 18-20. The institute will send the list to AICTE by June 20, after which the results will be announced by AICTE on June 24 and the program will start from June 30.
The on-campus (mandatory) duration of the program will be between June 30 and July 12, while the online (on campus also possible) period will be between July 14 and December 11. After this, the on-campus requirement will cease. Between 14th December – 26th December, and the final evaluation by the respective institute will be done between 21st December – 26th December. The final result will be announced on January 13, 2025.

The admission guidelines for the AICTE-QIP-PG Certificate Program are as follows:
Faculty members who are full-time regular employees of AICTE approved degree level or diploma level institutions and are experts in core engineering disciplines like Mechanical, Civil, Materials/Metallurgy, Electrical and Electronics, Chemical etc.
Minimum 5 years teaching experience at Graduation/Diploma level in an AICTE approved institution.
In addition to the above minimum eligibility, the norms of the respective host institution will apply.
The duration of the AICTE-QIP-PG Certificate Program will be six months. The batch size should be 50 candidates at an identified host institute per session. The course will be offered through hybrid mode. Out of the total period of six months, at least four weeks will have to be conducted offline.
In these programmes, enrolled candidates will be granted two casual leaves in a session and a maximum of one week medical leave per session. Students must have a mandatory 80 percent attendance for lectures (off-campus and on-campus) and 90 percent attendance for lab works to appear for final assessment and certificate.
