According to Media reports, Kota, Rajasthan, known as the “Coaching Capital” for IIT-JEE and NEET coaching, is now getting back on track after a long slump. Admissions for the 2026-27 academic session are gaining momentum. Initial trends show a 20-30% rise in student enrollment at city coaching centres. This turnaround follows a sharp drop witnessed over the past few years.

As a report between 2023 and 2025, the number of students had dropped by approximately 30-40 percent. While the sector previously generated an annual revenue of around ₹6,500-7,000 crore with a student base of roughly 2.5 lakh, these figures had plummeted to just 85,000 to 1 lakh students, causing revenue to shrink to approximately ₹3,500 crore.
