CAT 2025 Candidate Registration: The number of candidates registering for the CAT 2025 exam has declined. Last year, the total number of candidates registering for the Common Admission Test 2024 exam was 3.28 lakh, while according to a notification issued by IIM Kozhikode on November 3, 2025, CAT 2025 admit cards have been issued to only 2.95 lakh candidates. CAT 2025 Candidate Registration Numbers Decline

The number of candidates registering for the Common Admission Test 2025 exam has declined. The total number of candidates registered for the Common Admission Test 2024 exam was 3.29 lakh. The total number of candidates registered for the Common Admission Test 2023 exam was 3.28 lakh.

According to a press notification issued by IIM Kozhikode on November 3, 2025, CAT 2025 admit cards have been generated for only 2.95 lakh candidates. IIM Kozhikode has not given any specific number of candidates registered for the Common Admission Test 2025, but only the number of candidates for whom admit cards have been issued.

Admit Card Release Date

The IIM Kozhikode notification states, “Admit cards for 2.95 lakh eligible candidates have been generated and can be downloaded only from the official CAT website (https://iimcat.ac.in) between November 12 and November 30, 2025, using the CAT application login ID and password.” CAT 2025 Admit Card Delayed

IIM Kozhikode was supposed to release the CAT Exam Admit Card 2025 on the official CAT website on November 5, 2025. However, the CAT 2025 admit card has been delayed. The CAT 2025 admit card will now be released on November 12, 2025.

Mock Test Release Date:

IIM Kozhikode has confirmed that “a mock test with sample questions will be available on the CAT website from November 12, 2025, to familiarize candidates with the exam format and interface.”
