NEET-PG 2023 Special Stray Vacancy Round; Registration Starts Today

Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has announced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduate special vacancy round. NEET-PG 2023 Special Stray Vacancy round counseling will be conducted with 50 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) and 100 percent allocation for Deemed and Central Universities, AFMS, PG DNB seats.

Candidates will be able to fill the choices against NEET PG 2023 Special Vagrant Vacancy Round between November 17 to November 25. NEET-PG 2023 Special stray Vacancy Round Result will be declared on 25th November and candidates have to report to the allotted colleges between 25th November to 30th November.

MCC has also announced NEET PG special stray vacancy round for state seats from 25th to 28th November. The last date to report and join for admission is 30th November.

State counseling authorities have been directed to conduct seat processing for NEET-PG 2023 special stray vacancy round of the states after excluding the candidates allotted in the special stray vacancy round of MCC.

Those already holding a seat or who have appeared through AIQ or State counseling including private and deemed quota seats are not eligible to participate in the special maverick vacancy round of MCC. It is important to highlight that the Special Stray Vacancy Round does not act as an upgradation round.

The official notice states that candidates appearing in the first round will not be given the opportunity to upgrade.

According to a tweet shared by FAIMA President Dr. Rohan Krishnan, “However, admissions to PG seats left after qualifying percentile for NEET PG were reduced to zero. 1445 seats are vacant. Another special round of government counselling is going to consider the round.

Additionally, the Supreme Court issued a notice to the authorities on a plea seeking directions for extension of NEET PG counseling to fill unclaimed and vacant seats. Now the government has constituted a panel to review the reasons for 1,445 medical PG seats remaining vacant in India after counselling.
