The Adani Group has launched a new scholarship initiative worth Rs 1.62 crore for MBA students at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM Calcutta). Initiated under the Adani Accelerated Leadership Program (AALP), this program aims to promote academic excellence and strengthen industry-academia collaboration. Every year, six students from IIM Calcutta will be selected to receive the scholarship.
The scholarship will be provided for two years, with an annual grant of Rs 81 lakh disbursed in two installments, contingent upon continued academic performance. Speaking about the initiative, Subhashree R. Venkataraj, Senior Vice President (AALP Intake) at Adani Group, described the scholarship as an investment in building a strong talent pipeline, which she termed “the foundation of long-term success.” Reinforcing this idea, Promoter and Executive Director Sagar Adani stated that the group believes its role is to nurture talent, which ultimately helps build strong organizations.
