IIM-Ahmedabad Placements 2026: BCG, McKinsey, Goldman Sachs Among Top Recruiters

In the final placement process for the Post Graduate Program (PGP) Class of 2026 at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-Ahmedabad), all students have successfully secured placements across 26 cohorts. The process witnessed participation from a diverse range of recruiters spanning consulting, finance, technology, and emerging sectors, underscoring the industry’s robust confidence in IIM-Ahmedabad graduates.

The placement cycle commenced with the Lateral Placement Process, held between January 5 and January 15, 2026, which targeted candidates with prior work experience for mid- and senior-level roles. This was followed by the Final Placement Process, structured around IIMA Ahmedabad’s Cluster-Cohort system.

Under this system, companies are grouped based on their industry profiles, and students are afforded flexibility through “Dream” applications, even after receiving an offer. This year, over 150 such applications were submitted, highlighting the student-centric nature of this process.

In the consulting field, Boston Consulting Group was the top recruiter with 33 offers, followed by McKinsey & Company (21) and Bain & Company (20). In Investment Banking and Markets, Goldman Sachs led the pack with six offers, while Citibank secured the second spot with four offers. Among large conglomerates, the Essar Group extended the highest number of offers (8), with companies from the Tata Group, Aditya Birla Group, Godrej Group, and Mahindra Group also participating actively.

The Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Asset Management cohort witnessed a 45% increase in offers, with firms such as Blackstone, General Atlantic, and Temasek actively recruiting. Growth and Diversity Across Sectors

Significant growth in recruitment was recorded across several cohorts, including Analytics and IT Consulting (150%), Consumer Services (150%), Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare (60%), Renewable Energy and Greentech (50%), and Advisory Consulting (45%). The process also witnessed greater diversity in recruiter participation across sectors such as Fintech, Logistics, Advertising, and Media.

Top recruiters across various domains included Accenture, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, Amazon, Microsoft, and Adobe. Companies like Hindustan Unilever, ITC Limited, Nestlé, Procter & Gamble, and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries were active participants in the consumer and healthcare sectors.

IIM-Ahmedabad Placements 2026: Lateral Placements

In the lateral placement process, FinIQ Consulting emerged as the largest recruiter with 15 offers, followed by NTT Data in second place with 14 offers. New recruiters also joined the process this year, including Analysys Mason, Indegene, and the Murugappa Group, reflecting the growing popularity of IIM-Ahmedabad’s talent pool.

IIM-Ahmedabad stated that an audited placement report will be released in accordance with the ‘Indian Placement Reporting Standards’ (IPRS). This is an initiative undertaken by the institute to enhance transparency in B-school placements.
