A well-known Star spinner cricketer Piyush Chawla, who has won two World Cups for India. Piyush Chawla has announced his retirement from international cricket. He played for all three formats in Indian cricket.
India won the 2011 cricket world cup under the captaincy of M.S.Dhoni; India defeated Sri Lanka in the finale by 6 wickets; Piyush had his fair share of contributions to achieve the world cup title. Piyush Chawla informed about his retirement with the help of an Instagram post.
Piyush Chawla has experience of more than 2 decades in cricket; in the past 2 decades, Piyush played and won in the T20 world cup 2007 and also in ODI 2011. Piyush Chawla said that he had an astonishing journey up to this point and the memories he made will always remain with him.
Piyush Chawla thanked IPL franchises (such as Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, and Punjab Kings) that put faith in him. He also thanked Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Piyush stated that IPL has been an important chapter of his life and expressed his gratitude towards his coaches K.K. Gautam and late Pankaj Sara swat. He thanked his late father as well; mentioning that this journey wouldn’t have been what it turned out to be without his father.
Piyush started playing for India in 2006 but, because of him being in bad form, he was constantly in and out of the team, hence he could not get many opportunities to play. He cracked 7 wickets in 3 test matches, in 25 one day matches he got 35 wickets, and in T20 international cricket there are 4 wickets registered in front of his name.
