India captain and pacer Jasprit-Bumrah had to leave the field early in the post-lunch session on day two of the Sydney Test due to a suspected concussion. Bumrah was filmed leaving the stadium premises where he was likely to undergo scans. The specifics of the injury is yet unclear at this time.
Bumrah bowled eight overs to take the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on day two, but walked off the field for an over early in the post-lunch session.
At the time of leaving the field, Bumrah had bowled 151.2 overs in five Tests, while his Australian counterpart Pat Cummins had bowled more than him (152 overs). Jasprit-Bumrah has taken 32 wickets in the series at an average of 13.06 with his hard work, but the pressure on him to bowl more due to the team combination and lack of capacity elsewhere has put him at risk of injury.
