The Railway Recruitment Board has released the RRB Group D exam date. It had earlier invited applications from eligible candidates for various Level-1 posts of the 7th CPC Matrix under CEN No. RRC-01/2019.
The RRB Group D exam date is February 23, 2022. The CBT will be held in multiple phases, subject to the prevailing conditions. The government will issue Covid-19 guidelines from time to time on how the CBT will be managed.
All RRB websites will carry the link for candidates to check their exam cities and exam date at least 10 days before the exam date.
Candidates will be able to start downloading the e-call letters from four days prior to the CBT date mentioned in the exam city and date intimation link.
RRB Group D Exam Around 5 lakh applications rejected:
The applications of around 4, 85,607 candidates were rejected on grounds that didn’t have a valid photograph and/or signature.
For them, the modification link would be active from December 15 to 26 on all the official websites of RRBs. This will be a one-time opportunity and the decision of RRBs regarding these will be considered final and binding. These candidates will be scheduled in subsequent phases of the CBT exam.
The board also advised candidates to refer only to the official websites of RRBs for latest updates on the recruitment process. “Please do not be misled by unauthenticated sources,” it added.
Group D exam is conducted for various categories to fill 1,03,769 vacancies. The Group D 2019 exam was postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic. However, a total of 1 crore candidates registered for the exam. RRB Group D exam was scheduled to be conducted in June and the notification regarding the recruitment was released in February 2019. Students had also taken to Twitter and sought a response from the railway board on the delay.
