National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the application deadline for Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022. Earlier, the application window was to close on May 6, but now candidates will be able to apply for the entrance test till May 22. Candidates who have not yet applied for the exam can apply at cuet.samarth.ac.in.
“As per the public notice dated 06.04.2022 and representations of the candidates, it has been decided to extend the last date for submission of online application form for CUET (UG) 2022,” NTA said in an official notice. The entrance exam is scheduled for the first week of July 2022, but the detailed schedule has not been released yet.
Along with the last date of application, the last date to pay the application fee has also been extended. Candidates can pay the application fee till 11:50 PM on 22nd May. Correction window will be available from May 25 to May 31.
As the eligibility/mapping of the tests proposed under CUET (UG) 2022 was revised by some universities, NTA has advised the candidates to re-visit the website of the university where they seek admission and re-confirm whether the courses in which they want admission are still on offer by the university.
Those who have already applied will have to map the course/exams on the NTA website cuet.samarth.ac.in and re-confirm that the tests selected by them in their application form are commensurate with those tests for which they need to apply in CUET (UG) 2022.
As per the notice CUET (UG) 2022 “will provide a single-window opportunity to students seeking admission to the Central Universities (CUs) across the country for various undergraduate programmes”.
The exam will be held in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
