NEET PG Results Cancelled: The National Board of Medical Examinations (NBEMS) has cancelled the NEET PG results of 22 candidates due to allegations of malpractice in examinations held between 2021 and 2025. According to an official notification, 13 of these candidates appeared in the NEET PG 2025 session.
In the notification, the Board stated, “The use of the said NEET-PG scorecard and/or result of the relevant session for any purpose, including but not limited to employment, enrolment, registration, or admission to PG courses, will be illegal.”
NBEMS stressed that it has no responsibility for any admission, job, or registration obtained using the now-declared NEET PG results. In its official statement, it emphasised, “NBEMS denies any responsibility or liability arising from employment, admission, or enrollment based on the above-mentioned cancelled NEET PG results.”
Of the 22 candidates whose NEET PG results were cancelled, 13 appeared in the 2025 session, three in 2024, four in 2023, and one each in 2022 and 2021. This decision was taken by the NBEMS Examination Ethics Committee after a comprehensive investigation into alleged cases of malpractice across multiple examination cycles.
It is noteworthy that Srishti Bommanahalli Rajanna was disqualified pursuant to the Karnataka High Court’s decision in Writ Petition No. 5785/2025, while the remaining 21 candidates were found guilty of using unfair means by the Ethics Committee.
Over 2.42 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET PG 2025 exam, of which 1,28,116 qualified for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma programs. Despite the results being declared, the counselling schedule is still pending. The delay stems from ongoing legal proceedings, including a petition seeking the release of the complete question paper and answer key, raising concerns about the transparency of the examination process.
This update comes after several students posted on social media platforms like X, Telegram, and Reddit, questioning how private institutions obtained their data to gain admission beyond the regular admission process through centralised counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
