IIM Tiruchi to conduct virtual personal interview for admission to nine IIMs.

IIM Tiruchi will start personal interview for admission from February 14 for candidates shortlisted through CAT (Common Aptitude Test) exam. A release issued by the institute said that the institute will conduct the admission process on behalf of nine IIMs.

IIM Tiruchi was entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the Common Admission Process 2022 (CAP 2022) on behalf of nine IIMs in India, IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Jammu, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur. IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur. These admissions will be for the batch of 2022-24 postgraduate programme.

Every year, one of these institutes are given the responsibility to conduct the common admission process or PGP/MBA programmes. Candidates who are interested in applying for these IIMs, can fill the online application form available at IIM Trichy website.

The institute says that the written aptitude test (conducted after CAT) has been scrapped due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Personal interview is also expected to be conducted online. The decision was taken after a meeting of the directors of nine IIMs.

IIM Tiruchi, the CAP 2022 coordinator IIM, had already declared the CAT result for the shortlisted candidates on January 18 for CAP 2022 registration. The last date for CAP 2022 registration is 28 January. After registration, an intimation regarding personal interview will be sent to the successfully registered candidates.

The personal interview was scheduled over three weeks in three slots, with one week scheduled from February 14 to 19, the second week from February 21 to 26 and the third week from March 7 to 12. More than 16,000 to 17,000 students were expected to register for the interviews.

How to Apply for IIM CAP 2022

The candidates can apply for IIM CAP 2022 with the help of their CAT 2021 login ID. Check steps to follow:

• Click on the link indicating IIM CAP 2022 or click here: http://cap2022iimtrichy.in/
• Go to candidate login and press ‘click here’
• Click on candidate sign in and enter CAT registration ID
• Enter password, captcha code and click on submit
• Fill the CAP form, upload relevant documents and click on submit

The admission process in the remaining second generation and first generation IIMs will be conducted separately and much earlier.
