Latest Update on GATE Exam 2023 Application Form Correction Window, Check Dates and Steps to Make Correction

Candidates who desire to make any changes to their application can visit the official website– gate.iitk.ac.in to make the necessary changes.

GATE Exam 2023: On November 8th Indian Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur announced that instead of November 4, the correction window will open from November 8. Therefore, from 8 to 12 November 2022 the application correction window will open for GATE 2023. Candidates who desire to make any changes to their application can visit the official website– gate.iitk.ac.in to make the necessary changes.

Applicants are allowed to change their name, date of birth, gender, category, PwD, dyslexia, address, college details, exam paper, additional exam paper, and exam city during the GATE 2023 application correction process.  The candidates who make changes to the application form have to pay fees.

Gate Exam 2023: Steps to Edit Application Form

Step 1: Go to the official website: gate.iitk.ac.in

Step 2: Click on GTE 2023 application correction window link

Step 3: Login using login credentials, id and password

Step 4:  Modify the application form as required

Step 5: Pay fees and click on submit

Step 6: Download and save it for the future references

The examination of GATE 2023 will hold 29 papers and the paper consists of 100 marks, General Aptitude is common for all papers (15 marks) and the rest covers the respective syllabus (85 marks).

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination conducted in India that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science for admission into the Masters Program and Job in Public Sector Companies.

GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technologies at Roorkee, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai (Madras) and Mumbai (Bombay) on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

The GATE score of a candidate reflects the relative performance level of a candidate. The score is used for admissions to various post-graduate education programs (e.g. Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Architecture, Doctor of Philosophy) in Indian higher education institutes, with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other government agencies.

Recently, GATE scores are also being used by several Indian public sector undertakings for recruiting graduate engineers in entry-level positions. It is one of the most competitive examinations in India. GATE is also recognized by various institutes outside India, such as Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
