BPSC TRE 4.0: On Wednesday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directed the education department to assess the vacancies of teachers in government schools and start the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE)-4 soon, according to PTI. The previous exams, TRE-1 and TRE-2, resulted in the appointment of 1.70 lakh and 70,000 teachers, respectively. TRE-3 had 87,774 vacancies, but only 66,603 posts were filled.
In a recent Twitter update, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced that the education department has been directed to expedite the process of identifying vacant teaching posts in government schools and conducting the BPSC TRE 4.0 exam. He stressed that the state government has made it clear that the 35 per cent reservation for women in appointments will apply only to residents of Bihar.

Its notification is expected to be released soon. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will conduct the exam to recruit teachers in primary, middle, secondary and higher secondary classes.
Bihar Education Minister Sunil Kumar told to media reporters on Wednesday that “the TRE-4 exam will be conducted before the model code of conduct comes into force in the state.”
