JEE Advanced 2021: List of Required documents, Exam Centre Details Released

JEE Advanced 2021 entrance exam admission brochure has been released by IIT Kharagpur, at the official website. Candidates can visit the official website -jeeav.nic.in to download the brochure and list of documents needed. IIT JEE exam application form dates and exam dates have not been released yet. Although JEE Advanced 2021 entrance exam was scheduled to be released on July 3, it was postponed due to Covid-19.

Students who were absent in JEE Advanced 2020 entrance exams can appear for the IIT entrance. Usually, students who miss the JEE Advanced cannot appear in the same exam next year, but this time due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this relaxation has been given.

JEE Advanced eligibility criteria:

Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in B.E./B.Tech. paper of JEE (Main) 2021. 

Age: Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1996. Five years of age relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates.

Number of attempts: A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.

Educational qualification: A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2020 or 2021 with the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Candidates MUST register for appearing for JEE (Advanced) 2021. Registration is to be done only through the online registration portal where detailed instructions for registration will be provided. Candidates can visit the website – jeeadv.ac.in for more information. 

How to fill JEE Advanced Application form:

Students will get a passport size photograph generated while filling the JEE Advanced form. However, students who registered themselves last year will get everything auto-generated.

The signature will be auto-generated for all candidates. A Unique Reference Code (URC) will be provided to the eligible candidates, which will be required during the time of entry to exam hall and filling the form.

Who will conduct IIT-JEE Advanced Exam?

IIT-JEE Advanced will be conducted this year by IIT-Kharagpur with a total number of 1,60,838 candidates registered for JEE Advanced 2020.

Female IIT-JEE Advanced quota:

Last year, 20 per cent seats were reserved for IIT-JEE women admission, while this year individual colleges will decide female quota.
