Zakir Hussain Hospitalised in US due to Heart-Related Problem, Family Prays for his Recovery

Tabla player Zakir Hussain has been admitted to a hospital in the US and is being treated for ‘serious’ health issues. Updates about his health were posted on social media. A report released by PTI indicates that Zakir Hussain has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

His friend and flutist Rakesh Chaurasia confirmed to the news agency on Sunday that he was hospitalised after facing heart-related problems.

A source close to Zakir shared that the 73-year-old Tabla player Zakir Hussain had blood pressure problems.

“He has been admitted to a hospital in San Francisco for a heart-related problem for the last one week. He is unwell and is currently admitted to the ICU. Chaurasia expressed to PTI, “There is widespread concern regarding the situation.”

Earlier in the day, it was reported that he was admitted to a hospital in San Francisco and is being treated for ‘serious’ health issues. At the moment, his family is seeking prayers and blessings from everyone for his speedy recovery. No other details about his health condition have been revealed yet.
