World Meditation Day 2024: As per the resolution passed by the United Nations General Assembly on November 29, 2024, the global community will celebrate December 21, 2024, as the first World Meditation Day.

India leads celebrations at UN Headquarters
To celebrate the World Meditation Day 2024 occasion, the Permanent Mission of India organised a special event at the UN Headquarters in New York. The event included a live global meditation session conducted by renowned Indian spiritual leader and founder of Art of Living Foundation founder Sri Sri Ravishankar, who was present as the chief guest. The initiative aims to promote meditation as a way to improve mental health and promote global peace. The theme of the event is “Meditation for Global Peace and Harmony”.
