Students returning from Ukraine should be admitted to Indian medical colleges: Health Minister of Chhattisgarh.

T. S. Singh Deo said that students completing medical education abroad have to undergo an examination to qualify as doctors in India, and such a process should be followed in the case of those who coming back from Ukraine with their education incomplete.

Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singh Deo on Friday requested the central government to allow students returning from Ukraine to enroll in the Indian medical colleges in after clearing a test.

In a letter to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Singh Deo has expressed concern about the future of these students.

“Given the current situation, it is uncertain when normalcy will return in Ukraine. A large number of students from Chhattisgarh and other states who are pursuing medical courses there. Now students are returning from Ukraine to their home and worried about their further studies. Even his parents, who have spent their hard earned money on his education, are worried,” Singh Deo said.

“I personally feel that if these students are absorbed in the medical colleges in the country through a prescribed procedure, they will happily accept it,” the letter said.

Singh Deo said that students completing medical education abroad have to undergo an examination to qualify as doctors in India, and such a process should be followed in the case of those who do their education from Ukraine. Coming back unfinished.

The minister said that additional seats may be created in medical colleges to absorb the students who pass such examinations.
