Republic Day 2025 Updates: Celebrations to Begin With Grand Parade at Kartavya Path Today

The day marks the 75th anniversary of the enactment of the Constitution of India. President Draupadi Murmu will lead the nation in the celebration of the 76th Republic Day from Kartavya Path in New Delhi.

Republic Day 2025 Live Updates: India is celebrating its 76th Republic Day on Sunday, January 26, 2025, with the celebrations kicking off with the iconic parade at Kartavya Path. The day marks the 75th anniversary of the enactment of the Constitution of India. President Draupadi Murmu will lead the nation in the celebration of the 76th Republic Day from Kartavya Path in New Delhi.

The Republic Day parade at Kartavya Path will begin at 10.30 am and will showcase India’s cultural diversity and military prowess through tableaux and marching contingents. State chief ministers and governors will celebrate the day with festivities in their respective state capitals.

Republic Day 2025: Key Points

+ The parade celebrations will begin with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the National War Memorial on Sunday morning.

+ Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is the chief guest of the Republic Day Parade 2025. Around 10,000 distinguished guests have been invited to witness the parade.

+ The parade will then begin with President Draupadi Murmu taking the salute. The Republic Day parade will begin with 300 cultural artists from different parts of the country playing ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha’ with musical instruments.

+ The parade will also feature a march past by the marching contingent of the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the military band of the Military Academy of Indonesia.

+ Tableaux from 16 state governments and union territories and 10 ministries and departments of the Centre will participate in the parade depicting ‘Swarnim Bharat: Heritage and Development’.

The Republic Day parade will conclude with a ‘fly-past’ in which 40 aircraft/helicopters will enthrall the spectators with a spectacular air show. The ceremony will conclude with the national anthem and the release of balloons carrying banners with the official logo depicting the completion of 75 years of the enactment of the Constitution, both in English and Hindi.
