Educational Qualification of Delhi Election 2025 Candidates: The Delhi Assembly elections will be held on February 5. The results for 70 seats will be declared on February 8. But before Delhiites cast their votes, here is a list of top candidates and their educational qualifications.

Arvind Kejriwal (AAP): New Delhi Seat

Arvind Kejriwal took the IIT-JEE exam in 1985. He completed BTech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. A former Delhi CM, he joined the Indian Revenue Service as a Joint Commissioner of Income Tax in 1993. He is also a Magsaysay Award winner for the work he did at the grassroots level through his organisation Parivartan.

Parvesh Verma (BJP): New Delhi Seat

According to his affidavit, Parvesh Verma has done his MBA from Fore School of Management, while in the digital parliament application he has done his Bachelor of Commerce from Kirori Mal College (KMC), University of Delhi.

Sandeep Dixit: New Delhi Seat

Sandeep Dixit is an Indian politician, development manager and educator. Sandeep holds a master’s degree in History from St. Stephen’s College, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) in 1989.

Atishi Marlena (AAP): Kalkaji Seat

Atishi completed her schooling from Springdales School in New Delhi, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in history from St Stephen’s College, Delhi University, in 2001. The Delhi chief minister later earned a master’s degree in history from the University of Oxford, supported by a Chevening Scholarship, in 2003. In 2005, she received a Rhodes Scholarship to attend Magdalen College, Oxford.

Manish Sisodia (AAP): Jangpura Seat

Manish Sisodia completed his schooling in Delhi and earned a diploma in journalism from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, as stated on the official website of the Aam Aadmi Party. Before entering politics, he worked as a journalist, a radio jockey and later as a news producer.

Vijender Gupta (BJP): Rohini Seat

Vijender Gupta is a postgraduate in commerce from Delhi University in 1986 and has also completed a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Ramjas College in 1984.

Awadh Ojha (AAP): Patparganj Seat

Awadh Ojha is widely recognised as a teacher in the civil services coaching sector and is making his debut in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 by contesting from the Patparganj seat. Ojha, who hails from Gonda in Uttar Pradesh, holds several degrees including a BA in History, MA in Hindi Literature, LLB, MPhil and PhD in Hindi Literature.

According to his affidavit, he has studied law from Lucknow University. After failing to clear the civil services exam in 2005, he decided to become a teacher. Lucknow University is ranked 97th in the university category of NIRF 2024.
