PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Z-Morh tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir, also known as the Sonamarg tunnel. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah stood on the left of PM Narendra Modi while cutting the red ribbon and inaugurating the Sonamarg tunnel. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also present at the inauguration ceremony.
Located in the picturesque Ganderbal district, the Z-Morh tunnel will enhance connectivity between Srinagar and Sonamarg, giving travellers an all-weather travel experience. After the inauguration, PM Modi visited the Sonamarg tunnel. He inspected the tunnel and took detailed information about its route map and construction work. PM Modi interacted with officials and construction workers who meticulously worked under the toughest conditions to build this tunnel.
