NEET UG Re-Exam: Around 813 candidates appeared for the re-examination, which took place at centers in Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana and Meghalaya.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) said at least 750 of the 1,563 candidates who got grace marks in NEET-UG did not re-exam on Sunday.

Out of total 602 qualified candidates in Chhattisgarh, 291 candidates appeared for the examination. Similarly, in Haryana, 287 out of 494 candidates appeared for the examination. In Meghalaya, 234 out of 464 candidates appeared for the examination. However, all the eligible candidates remained absent in the examination in Chandigarh.

A student took part in the examination at a center in Gujarat.

NEET-UG is conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other related courses in government and private institutions.

The re-examination for the medical entrance examination was conducted after the National Testing Agency withdrew the grace marks given to students who were compensated for the loss of time due to the delay in the commencement of the examination at six centres.

The allegation of inflated marks came after 61 students, apart from six students, scored a perfect score of 720.
