NEET UG 2024 Revised Result: National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the revised NEET UG 2024 merit list and scores on July 26. The official website of NEET UG exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ is hosting the revised merit list scorecard.
The NEET UG 2024 revised result and the list of top performing students have been revised due to the Supreme Court order on Tuesday withdrawing compensatory marks given to a specific group of students for Physics question
Earlier, NTA had agreed to compensate some students with extra marks because the wrong answer marked by them was based on a wrong reference in their old Class 12 NCERT Science textbook. However, on Tuesday the Supreme Court decided that there will be only one correct answer and anyone answering anything other than that will not get marks for it.
Due to this, 44 candidates whose score had become 720/720, thereby reaching All India Rank (AIR) 1, will now face -5 marks and will lose their topper label.
NEET UG 2024 attracted attention as 67 candidates were declared AIR 1 after the result was declared on June 4. Moreover, for the exam held on May 5, a total of 13,31,321 female candidates and 9,96,393 male candidates appeared for the exam. A total of 17 transgender candidates appeared for the exam.
