NEET Counselling 2023 UG : National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced that undergraduate students taking admission in medical colleges after September 30 will be considered invalid and will be discharged.
An NMC statement on October 19 said “Stakeholders including central authorities, state authorities and medical colleges are directed to strictly follow the counseling schedule prescribed by the National Medical Commission for the academic session 2023-24 for UG MBBS courses.
“Any counseling conducted by the mentioned authorities beyond the prescribed schedule will be considered invalid. Students seeking admission through such counseling will be immediately discharged,” it added.
The decision to nullify such admission has come after NMC found that the UG MBBS counselling both in online and offline medium are held in states including Bihar, Maharashtra and West Bengal beyond the NEET UG 2023 counselling date. NMC had set the NEET Counselling 2023 UG date as September 30.
The decision to cancel such admissions comes after the NMC found that UG MBBS counseling was being conducted beyond the NEET UG 2023 counseling off date in states including Bihar, Maharashtra and West Bengal, both online and offline. NMC had fixed the counseling cut-off date for NEET UG 2023 as September 30.
NMC NEET UG counseling date to conduct UG MBBS counseling was announced on July 27. Announcing this, the Commission said that conducting any admission or counseling after the counselling date is a violation of the NMC notice and the Supreme Court order.
