Mumbai Locals to be Equipped with Automatic Doors. Indian Railway’s big decision post-Thane incident.

Mumbai Locals: As per report 4 people died, 6 got injured, and several fell in the Thane rail incident, Monday. Only a few hours after this tragedy, the railway board decided to Announce two substantial rulings.

“All the under-manufacturing rakes for Mumbai suburban are soon going to have automatic door-closing facilities. All the Mumbai Suburban rakes that are in service will also be modified, re-designed and equipped with the automatic door closer facility,” Executive Director (Information & Publicity) Dilip Kumar said.

The reason for the accident is believed to be overcrowding inside the train, Central Railway added. The police personnel and railway administration were there at the spot.

Archana Dusane i.e. Senior Police Inspector of Thane GRP additionally told that at the time when the passengers fell, an express/mail train was passing on the contiguous track. She also informed that the police received an alert, and immediately they rushed to the spot.

A guard on a train towards Kasara alerted the police and authorities about this tragedy. This tragedy has affected the Mumbai locals train, said The Central Railway. He added that the injured are immediately being rushed to the hospital and being taken care of. In depth investigations are ongoing.
