Lok Sabha Elections: With 16.63 crore voters set to decide the fate of 1625 candidates, India is all set to begin the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with Phase 1 on Friday, April 19, 2024.
Voting will take place in 102 parliamentary constituencies across 21 states and union territories and 92 assembly constituencies in Arunachal and Sikkim in the first phase, making it the biggest phase of all.
Uttar Pradesh will see a triangular contest between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), India Bloc and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). The only parliamentary seat in Jammu and Kashmir to go to polls in the first phase is Udhampur-Doda.

The upcoming elections are scheduled to be held in seven phases during the months of April and May. More than 90 crore eligible voters will exercise their franchise to fill 543 seats in the Lower House. On June 4, 2024, the results of the Election will be announced.
